Boxwood Tree Holiday Workshop

Nov. 24 | 2 – 4 p.m. | at Hightower Hall

$25 per Member and $30 per Non-member Guest
Pre-registration Required

Members are invited to Hightower Hall to create a fresh boxwood table decoration.​​ Your creation will last all through the holidays. Learn essential ​​skills such as cutting boxwood, making small bows, and wiring techniques to decorate your tabletop tree like a pro. Please bring a pair of hand clippers or scissors. All other supplies are provided.

Members are invited to bring non-member guests to this workshop by purchasing “Member Guest” tickets for each of their guests.

Christmas Candlelight Tours

Dec. 13, 14, & 15 | 3 – 9 p.m.

Join us for an evening of traditional Christmas festivities and a guided candlelit tour, set in 1780, to experience what Christmas may have been like during the American Revolution.

On-going activities:

• Meet Father Christmas
• Make-and-take activities: Candle-dipping and making ‘scherenschnitte’ (snowflake ornaments)
• Brass band and traditional fiddle music
• Concessions available for purchase.
• Christmas shopping at Historic Brattonsville Gift Shop, Phil Gilson – Glassblower, Zettlemoyer Pottery, and Deadra Johnson – Sweetgrass Basket Weaver.

Talk About Turkey

Thanksgiving is close at hand, and we can hardly wait. Come celebrate with us with some fun turkey-themed activities. Use paint and paper to make a hand turkey; practice your spelling with letters for turkey, gravy, and other fun words; count the feathers on turkey’s tail, and do a fun, fall coloring sheet. Trot on over and join us for some fun!
